SWT_HM_ADL (Sweet Home Adelaide) debuted at the 2021 Adelaide Fringe as a collection of original songs and stories by award-winning, Adelaide-based singer/songwriters Doctor D and Fergus Maximus. This was followed up with a reprise show in the 2021 Umbrella Festival. They expanded the concept with new material into Sweet Home SA for the 2022 Fringe, playing venues in Adelaide and Auburn as well as an acoustic duo version in Unley: Sweet Home Songs. Featuring distinctly local stories, such as the award-winning Henley Square and Gulf of St Vincent, the shows joyously celebrate South Australia and all things South Aussie, exploring surprising history, compelling characters, quirky customs and iconic places.

Fergus Maximus

Fergus Maximus is a soulful singer/storyteller/saxophonist whose melodic songs embrace all the important things- love, loss, mistakes with wit, intelligence and fun. His debut album Restless Soles is an anthology of short stories about characters with itchy feet- their foibles and struggles.

Doctor D

Over years of visiting South Australia, and now as a resident, guitarist Doctor D’s songs celebrate all that is quirky and fun about South Aussie customs and culture. His music has received accolades from the Songwriters, Composers and Lyricist’s Association and the Judith Crossley Memorial Award.
