Sweet Songs is a collaboration between Doctor D and Fergus Maximus, multi-award-winning songwriters based in Adelaide. They first worked together in the sell-out Adelaide 2021 Fringe Show SWT_HM_ADL. Since then they have been delighting audiences with their music, stories and amiable on-stage personas. A studio single and studio album Back in ADL were released in October 2023. Fergus Maximus
Fergus Maximus is a soulful singer/storyteller/saxophonist whose melodic songs embrace all the important things- love, loss, mistakes with wit, intelligence and fun. His debut album Restless Soles is an anthology of short stories about characters with itchy feet- their foibles and struggles.
Doctor D
Doctor D is a guitarist/songwriter based in Adelaide and London whose songs feature big tunes, witty, satirical lyrics and searing lead guitar. His music has received accolades from the Songwriters, Composers and Lyricist’s Association and the Judith Crossley Memorial Award.
